Filippo is an adventurer with a researcher’s mind. His versatility is reflected in the many degrees he obtained in the most diverse fields: from philosophy to psychology, and cognitive neuroscience. He received his Ph.D. in cognition and neural systems from the University of Arizona and then moved to the Machine Perception Lab, at the University of California, San Diego. His interest in computer vision eventually led to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, first as a vision engineer, and next as a machine learning consultant. After this sustained intellectual effort, Filippo decided to retreat for a year in the Alps to ski-mountaineer and to cultivate his inner self. Filled with positive karma, he’s one of the leading scientists working at Nova Scientia.
